Halloween Re-Release Trailer

As you may or may not know,
John Carpenter's Halloween is being re-released
in theaters for a brief run at the end of October.

A trailer for this event debuted yesterday. Enjoy!

I am still hoping a theater nearby decides to take part,
I so want to see this on the big screen again, and the documentary as well!

Vigalondo's Extraterrestrial

Director Nacho Vigalondo has made a new film called Extraterrestrial, the teaser is below. He is the man behind the great flick Timecrimes, which I reviewed here.

Loved Timecrimes, so I would definitely give this a go!

Hatchet II Trailer

I liked Hatchet, the horror movie from 2007, but I wouldn't go nuts like the "critics" in the blurbs before this trailer seem to. It was good ol' slasher fun, but "the Holy Grail of slasher films"? I don't think so...

Still, like I said, I enjoyed the first one and I will see this one, too. Never enough slasher films done well!

Teaser Trailer: Buried

Horror Squad posted this last week:

Looks like it could be interesting, even though I am not a huge Ryan Reynolds fan.

Plot: Reynolds plays Paul Conroy, a civilian contractor working in Iraq. One day day he wakes up with amnesia and buried in a coffin with nothing more than a candle, a cellular phone and a knife. How he got there remains a mystery, but as the trailer tells us, it's going to cost a lot to get him out.

The film ran at the Sundance Film Festival and Lionsgate has picked up the North American rights to the film after interest among buyers at Sundance.

Friday the 13th - Modernized Trailers

Hey all...

Still attempting to write for NaNoWriMo (at 17,109... behind, but not too far), but I wanted to do something today to celebrate Friday the 13th!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Friday the 13th Blog is celebrating all day today with posts on various F13-related subjects. Head on over and check it out!
Here are some modernized trailers they posted, very cool:
Check out more trailers here
or at the YouTube site of the creators, From the Morgue.
And last, Mamma Voorhees and her little boy.
Mrs. Voorhees & Jason
That is Betsy Palmer (aka Pamela Voorhees) posing with Wickedbeard, a fan in an awesome Jason costume. Very cool!
It is photoshopped (more info here), using a picture taken at a horror convention.
Happy Friday the 13th!
A Nightmare on Elm Street remake trailer
So, this hit the web with a bang yesterday:
A Nightmare on Elm Street in HD
Looks good, I suppose. Lots of nods to the original film.
I think Jackie Earle Haley is a great choice for Freddy Krueger. He needs to be different that Robert Englund's Freddy, and it appears he has achieved that.
A Nightmare on Elm Street is due in theaters April 30, 2010.
