Halloween Month: Horrifically Good Websites

Some great Halloween/Horror sites on the Net. Enjoy!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Want to listen to some Halloween Radio?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Here's a list of horror films, their sequels and remakes:

Horror: Sequel,sequel,sequel and of course Remake

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A Dark Celebration of Halloween
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Monster Rally is a great site that almost daily posts extensive links to horror, Halloween, movies, TV - whatever they can find that appeals to side of us that likes to be scared!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Famous Monsters of Filmland is back! Created in 1958 by sci-fi and horror aficionado Forrest J Ackerman, the magazine captured the imaginations of countless fans, including some of today’s most iconic storytellers and entertainers.
Phil Kim obtained the trademark to the legendary Famous Monsters of Filmland. With the blessings of the original editor-in-chief, Forrest J. Ackerman (aka Dr. Acula), FM is poised to recapture the hearts and imagination of the core fans and new fans alike.
The U.K. Telegraph has a list of 10 Most Creepy Things on the Web
I did a post on their #1 here. # 4 is also pretty damn weird.
And here is their #5:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Zombos' Closet of Horror

Reviews, views, and interviews on the horror genre, including movies, comics, and books.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If it has to do with horror, then you can find it at:
I have spotlighted it here before, but PARA Abnormal is a great site.
Para Abnormal
They are also doing a 31 Days of Halloween!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

A Patchwork of Flesh is an on-going art project collecting submitted versions of the Frankenstein Monster.

I submitted this one earlier this year:

Send in your own!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Like General Mills' Monster Cereals? Then you will love this site:
Count Chocula, Franken Berry and Boo-Berry Monster Cereals Will Rise Again!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Obscure Hollow showcases haunted and vintage aesthetics in films, photography of home collections and other strange discoveries of old time past.

Yesterday, they did a post of stills from "Hellowe'en", an episode of my favorite show, "Friday the 13th: The Series"!

Looking to make something scary?

The Monsterlist of Halloween Projects is the most complete collection of links to pages with do-it-yourself projects on them that I know of. These are not your little kids Halloween crafts, every scary devious seriously spooky prop and project designed for truly scaring people is listed here. Most importantly, the list is checked periodically for accuracy.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
About.com has sections on all subjects, and Mark H. Harris is in charge of the Horror & Suspense site, always great.
One of the best things about it: A weekly updated, day-by-day listing of horror movies airing on TV.
I check this out daily, to find something creepy to watch or DVR for future viewing. VERY HANDY!
And last, but by no means least:
Everyone participating is promising daily posts of Halloween goodness!
Halloween Month is just beginning!
