Yesterday saw the release of the first-ever DVD set of Friday the 13th: The Series - The Final Season (aka Season 3).
This has been a LONG time coming, since Season 3 premiered 20 years ago next month! For awhile there, I was afraid we weren't going to see this final season released. Just so happy to (almost) have all the episodes of this show on DVD!
I am waiting for my pre-ordered copy to arrive in the mail. Somehow, that isn't right. Shouldn't a PRE-ordered copy arrive AT LEAST on time? Oh well.

If you are looking for some good, late 80s, TV horror fun, pick up your own copy of Season 3. And while you're at it, get Seasons 1 & 2 as well. Heck, there is even a Box Set containing ALL 3 Seasons!

Wondering if I can still find these locally, or wait for the inevitable re-release. Thanks for the heads up, Wings!
ReplyDeleteI would've thought that you would have it yesterday - who knows where it is? LOL But, patience will make it more worthwhile, right? :)
ReplyDeleteand i am still waiting on Land of the Lost season 3...which was after it jumped the shark, really. was this series any good. i have such vague memories of it.
ReplyDeleteFor a guy who seems the most gentle in the world you got the most violent entertainment choices...I guess it removes the impulse to take a bat to the grocer.
ReplyDeleteSubtorp: Amazon, Best Buy and I think possibly even Target & Wal-Mart!
ReplyDeleteRavyn: I have it now! :)
Brian: It is good, but you have to like 80s TV horror first and foremost.
Cal: Yeah, well, we all have a Dark Side. Muahahahahaha
:)
Great to see this final season was released. F13 was one of my favorite shows of that era. Very disappointed they never got around to making the wrap-up movie after the show was canceled (despite decent ratings) due to a change in management at Paramount.
ReplyDeleteDan -
ReplyDeleteI wish they had done some sort of reunion. But it apparently wasn't in the cards. Have you caught the similarities to this show in SyFy's new "Warehouse 13"? I wonder if they could somehow do a reunion/final capper for "F13TS" on that show, somehow crossing paths?
Or I am just dreaming too much!
