So Pretty - A Horror Short Film

From the YouTube site for the film:

"A Halloween fright fest. Vampires in the modern world. What would it

really be like? Take a trip on the night train in this short film

produced for Stage 5 TV and find out why the cursed don't sparkle.

When Carpenter Met Brown

How awesome is this?

Charlie Brown: Blockhead's Revenge from Dylan OBrien

From Bloody Disgusting:

True to the horror icon's spirit, John Carpenter introduces his "first and last appearance on Funny or Die" with a very special Halloween spoof that combines Charlie Brown and All Hallow’s Eve. Entitled "Charlie Brown: Blockhead's Revenge", Carpenter calls the short "Terrifying, terrifyingly disappointing."

Making Friends by Michael Dougherty

Michael Dougherty has a new short, to help promote

Fearnet's 24-hour Halloween day Trick 'r Treat marathon!

There is even a cameo by our good friend Sam in there!

Fun stuff!

United Monster Talent Agency

The Walking Dead's FX man Greg Nicotero has made his directorial debut with this short film, "The United Monster Talent Agency." Filmed like a 1940s news reel, it advertises the agency for all your monster casting needs.

Head to FEARNET for an exclusive interview with the makeup master-turned-director.

Short Film: The Raven

Cool, eh?

Peruvian filmmaker Ricardo de Montreuil made the short film The Raven on a budget of only $5,000. It is based on a treatment for a potential film trilogy.

Whodunnit?

Last week, Dan Florien over at Unreasonable Faith posted this video.

Watch it one time through, at least.

So, how observant were you?

I failed, miserably!

Pretty cool, though.

Spider - A Short Film

My wife and I caught this very short film on FUSE TV the other night, right before watching 1978's "Halloween" again.

It freaked my wife out, but I loved it! Unexpected and shocking, yet well done. It hits just the right notes and wastes no time getting there, coming in under 10 minutes long!

CAUTION: This is not going to be for everyone! If you don't like unnerving, unsettling or shocking movies, this little one might not be for you.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Remember... You have been warned!
Wasn't that just freakin' great?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Spider is from 2007 and was written by Nash Edgerton and David Michôd, and directed by Edgerton, who stars as Jack, with Mirrah Foulkes as Jill. It has won a lot of awards, which are well deserved, in my opinion.
